I don't think this is the case.

A misspelled word here or there only makes your site look less trustworthy if the site already looks untrustworthy. Hire a better designer.

Personally I couldn't care less about a typo here or a missing piece of punctuation there.

Is the site readable? Does it offer a good user experience (i.e. can I find everything I'm looking for quickly, pay quickly, etc)? What do others say about the site (does it have good reviews?)

These things matter far more than a spelling mis steak or two.

Know what I mean?

I agree with you from the SEO perspective - there's no point in hyperlinking 'click here' when you can link on on a relevant phrase.

But from the user point of view, 'click here' can be handy - and sometimes will get you a better click through rate, especially at the end of a sentence.

So while I agree 'Click here to get tips on writing your will' isn't much good, I wouldn't rule out 'To get tips on writing your will, click here'.

Yes, it is surprising how many business sites don't disclose who their people are. I really does discourage a relationship, doesn't it? ~Steve

I agree that personalization is important for a website and a business. Trust and credibility are critically important to a business and a key ingredient in building that trust is putting real people behind the products and services being offered. I'm surprised how frequently a business website doesn't disclose the management team or the senior people.
