Step 1:

The audit

What we’ll do:

We’ll complete a detailed SEO and content audit for your site, analysing technical SEO, domain authority, competitors, keywords and all of the other organic performance influencers you can think of.

If you’re launching a new website, we’ll make suggestions on content and give advice for best practice SEO considerations before launching.

How it’ll help:

The audit is one of the most important parts of any SEO campaign. It gives us an overview of any website issues that are harming your rankings and identifies opportunities for growth. It allows us to define a step-by-step plan to success and prioritise next steps.

Step 2:

Technical SEO fixes, account setup, and tracking

What we’ll do:

Before we get started with all of the good stuff; namely optimisation and increasing rankings, it’s important to fix any issues that could limit SEO success. This includes fixing broken links, website structure errors, duplicate content and more Google ‘no no’s’. We’ll also set up reporting and tracking at this stage.

How it’ll help:

Eliminating fundamental website issues and following SEO campaign best practice gives us a clean slate to start with and we can then focus on getting results. Setting up tracking and reporting allows us to monitor changes on our way to success and gives us a detailed picture of your website traffic.

Step 3:

Keyword research and page mapping

What we’ll do:

Before making changes to webpages and optimising content, we need to determine what your audience is searching for in relation to your products, services and content. We need to ensure that your pages target the correct keywords. This detailed keyword optimisation phase is done for every important page on your website and pages are mapped to target keywords. We use tools such as Moz Keyword Explorer and Google’s Keyword Planner to help inform our chosen keywords.

How it’ll help:

It’ll give us a better understanding of what your users are searching for, allowing us to optimise your website content to those searches. It also identifies opportunities for new keywords, content and prioritisation of page optimisation.

Step 4:

Optimising your website content

What we’ll do:

Starting with priorities (based on the research phase and your own insights), we’ll optimise each page of your website towards a specific set of keywords. This can include the updating of page content, adding new content, adding image ‘alt’ tags, changing meta tags and other on-page SEO optimisations.

How it’ll help:

This step is what directly impacts your organic traffic and indirectly drives sales, conversions and other goals you may have. Slowly but surely, newly optimised pages on your website with gradually start to rank for the keywords we’ve optimised them for, plus a lot of associated keywords. This is an on-going process that aims to drive a relevant audience to your website.

Step 5:

Identifying opportunities for new content

What we’ll do:

It’s not just your existing website content that drives SEO campaign success. Identifying new pages to add to your site will help grow traffic even further. In this phase, we’ll do more keyword research to find out what else your audience is searching for. If content doesn’t exist on your site to meet this demand, we’ll create it.

How it’ll help:

Creating new content, which can be in the form of blog posts, guides, services pages (practically anything!) will allow you to target a larger audience. This will result in another increase in relevant traffic.

Step 6:

Content marketing and outreach

What we’ll do:

Now you have top-notch content on your site and it’s targeted towards what your audience is searching for, it’s time to shout about it! We’ll use tried and tested content marketing techniques to promote your website and generate interest.

How it’ll help:

The key goal of this step is to generate backlinks to your webpages (which is a great SEO authority signal) and increase traffic to those pages. Whilst your audience will gradually find you naturally through Google, a content marketing strategy accelerates your increase in rankings to get you into those competitive positions on Google.

SEO is an on-going process that should be considered for every single piece of content on your website. An on-going SEO campaign ensures that you stay relevant and competitive against other websites that target the same keywords.

Google is always updating their algorithm to reward sites that provide high quality content to users and the signals it takes into account change too. Staying on top of these changes is vital for the success of your website.

Most of our clients start to see good results 3-4 months after their SEO campaign is launched, but the growth process is on-going and it can take many more months, or even years, to rank in the top positions for highly competitive keywords.
